  Roberta Ferrari has a PhD in History of Political Thought, Department of Politics, Institutions and History of the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Bologna (title of the dissertation: "Beatrice Potter and Mrs Webb. Politics as Administration of Character"). Her research focuses on the history of political thought in late Victorian age England with special reference to the political biography of Beatrice Potter Webb and fabianism. She also works on femminist theory and women's migration.
