Abstract

The purpose of this article is to provide a historical observation of politics of memory in contemporary Brazil, with a focus on the period between 2019 and 2022 (Bolsonaro government). By analyzing the lawsuits put forward by different social and political actors, the article proposes a reflection on the time frames involved in the politics of memory in the post-dictatorship context, especially from the perspective of the victims of the regime.
